Ahhh, the weekend

  • Joe McKnight thinks karma doesn’t apply to Southern Cal.
  • Does Ohio State stop Javon Ringer enough to win?
  • Will Ohio State stay ranked if they lose to Michigan State?
  • Is it possible that Tennessee-Mississippi State is playing to not have the top draft pick in the SEC next year?
  • Is is possible that Fulmer is packing his office if the Vols lose?
  • Can the Dawgs play with enough energy and keep Vandy from getting enough turnovers to make the game close?
  • Will the 12:30 kickoff make that harder to do?
  • Will Cullen Harper verbally shiv Dabo Swinney if he isn’t made starter after Tech beats Clemson?
  • Not so much a thought, as much as the person that has inspired so many Dawg fans to write (check out the link in the post) gets a nod since this is homecoming.

The Buckeyes will have a hard time this year as many Big Ten teams are coming into their own witjh experience & the Buckeyes are young. I say they will lose 4 or 5 games this year. I would like to see them win them all but lets face it. Parity has arrived on the college scene & many teams have talented players that can beat anyone on a given day. I think many unhearlded teams will pull off big upsets all over the country. The BCS rating system is stupid & a total joke. It is time for a playoff every year just like the high schools do here in Ohio to determine state champions.
Just because a young & inexperienced team loses a couple of games at the beginning of the season does not mean they can not beat the BCS chanpions at the end of the season. I will always be a Buckeye fan whether they win or lose. I also like Michigan.
Don’t count them out of anything. They have a lot of talent that could simply explode & fool a lot of teams overlooking them. Last year was then this year is now. After the Buckeyes get done with the walkovers USC game will tell the tale.

A Georgia Dawg in the Mid-West alone with his thoughts.

BBQ, Ball and Bets

There's nothing like a sunny fall afternoon, pork BBQ (with mustard sauce, of course!), a pregame tailgate, and...betting online. You heard me right. With a laptop and an internet connection you can check the odds of any game from the 50 yard line. Now that's convenience and will make your tailgate all the more interesting when some dude mentions just how much of a good bet a certain game is.
