Monday evening on the Internets

  • Doug Gillett, man of his word.
  • Senator Blutarsky gives a great breakdown of the SEC and who stands where.  The only thing I disagree with is his assessment of Auburn.  Auburn is truly bad.
  • Paul Westerdawg asks if we are witnessing the best trio of offensive players in UGA history.
  • Blogging Pantsless has been renamed for the week.
  • MaconDawg at Dawg Sports revisits LSU.
  • From David Hale: UGA/UK TV will be on a six day option.  The winner on Saturday in Jacksonville likely gets the ESPN/ESPN2 8pm EST kickoff (Georgia at Kentucky, Florida at Vandy) on November 8th.  The loser plays on Jefferson Pilot Lincoln Financial Raycom at 12:30.
  • Florida is eager for revenge.  Film at 11.  Actually, I like to hear Gators talking like this.  Instead of “oh, we just let them win one last year,” it has been “we’re going to win, we swear.”  It might take five in a row (something I don’t think will happen) for the swagger of 1990-2001 to come back.
  • Schlabach has some interesting thoughts on who is on the upswing (Hint: it involves a team that stopped the Wing-T last week).
  • Dennis Dodd at CBSSportsline has some insight into who might be the next coach at Washington.
  • Rocky Top Talk has some sound (and surprisingly thoughtful) ideas about the possible transition that could happen in Knoxville at the end of the season (or sooner).
  • From EDSBS, this is what I had in mind when I though about Florida’s possible ‘something big’ in retaliation (Orson suggests it be 50 guys in orange and blue on the sideline, not in the endzone):
  • Looks like SEC Zook is back snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
  • Tim Tucker from the AJC looks at the injury situation for the Dawgs and those who has stepped up.
  • Pete Fiutak breaks down the BCS.  He likes Georgia’s chances if they win out.
  • A little Florida hate from down under.  Bonus hate included, since he’s a whole day ahead of us in his hate.

A Georgia Dawg in the Mid-West alone with his thoughts.

BBQ, Ball and Bets

There's nothing like a sunny fall afternoon, pork BBQ (with mustard sauce, of course!), a pregame tailgate, and...betting online. You heard me right. With a laptop and an internet connection you can check the odds of any game from the 50 yard line. Now that's convenience and will make your tailgate all the more interesting when some dude mentions just how much of a good bet a certain game is.
