Great, now I’m depressed

I admit, I am not much of an NBA fan. Growing up in Georgia, where pro basketball is at least fifth on the list of sports people pay attention to will cause that to happen. Oh, I occasionally follow the playoffs enough to know who is in the finals or if Kobe is carrying yet another group of stiffs to glory, but for the most part I just don’t care.

Except this morning, I was wondering if the Hawks won in Boston last night. I found out they didn’t, but none the less, it is a step.  Upon reflection, it might be the Hawks futility that is the reason why we don’t pay attention to pro basketball in Georgia.  Here in the Midwest, pro basketball is pretty big, mainly due to Micheal Jordan, so maybe it is a function of where I live now.  Either way, it made me sad that college football will soon wrap up.  Then it will snow.  At night, the ice weasels come.

BBQ, Ball and Bets

There's nothing like a sunny fall afternoon, pork BBQ (with mustard sauce, of course!), a pregame tailgate, and...betting online. You heard me right. With a laptop and an internet connection you can check the odds of any game from the 50 yard line. Now that's convenience and will make your tailgate all the more interesting when some dude mentions just how much of a good bet a certain game is.
