Dawgs fall to 1-1 in basketball

Coach Felton’s charges lost to Loyola-Chicago in West Lafayette in the first round of the pre-season NIT 74-53.  The Dawgs were tied at the half 29-29, but struggled offensively in the second half, only scoring 19 points.

The Dawgs were paced by Travis Leslie’s 21 points and Terrance Woodbury’s 19 points.  No one else was remotely close to double digits.  The Dawgs were 1-12 from beyond the 3 point line.

The Dawgs fall to 1-1 on the young season.

Felton’s quote from the AJC writeup says it all: “We lacked the kind of aggression coming out of the gate that it requires and just seemed to be on our heels.”

BBQ, Ball and Bets

There's nothing like a sunny fall afternoon, pork BBQ (with mustard sauce, of course!), a pregame tailgate, and...betting online. You heard me right. With a laptop and an internet connection you can check the odds of any game from the 50 yard line. Now that's convenience and will make your tailgate all the more interesting when some dude mentions just how much of a good bet a certain game is.
