From the Corn Field

  • Notre Dame is Urban Meyer’s ‘dream job‘?  Ok, I’ll buy that.  If it ever happens, it’ll be the perfect merger between coach and fan ego.
  • Tim Tebow made a mistake!  Mullen WILL call the plays for the BCS Championship game.
  • David Hale has the interview of the year.  Damon Evans talks about the athletic program, the football season and various other things.  Excellent read for any dog fan.
  • Blutarsky thinks Jay Jacobs might need sensitivity training.  Of course, he isn’t the only one.
  • Matt Hayes has obviously never been to Athens or Los Angeles.  More people than those in Columbus, Ohio, were happy that Tebow didn’t win the Heisman.
  • PWD catches up on some assistants staying at Georgia.
  • How do you not pass six hours at South Carolina.  Sheesh!

Urban Meyer leaving Florida for Notre Dame would be like leaving Scarlet Johanassen for Kathy Griffin.

Maybe he has a thing for dirty redheads? Maybe he thinks he can get her to dye her hair and be funny (or something)?

Everytime I hear any coach say this, it always sounds like a lot of talk. I don’t even think they believe it themselves.

BBQ, Ball and Bets

There's nothing like a sunny fall afternoon, pork BBQ (with mustard sauce, of course!), a pregame tailgate, and...betting online. You heard me right. With a laptop and an internet connection you can check the odds of any game from the 50 yard line. Now that's convenience and will make your tailgate all the more interesting when some dude mentions just how much of a good bet a certain game is.
