It makes sense for Stafford to go now. Think about it: His fate, more or less is tied to Tebow’s and vice-versa and Tebow can’t announce now if he’s going due to the Nat’l Championship game. So Stafford got a chance to “set the market” and did so. It might not have happened this way if Tebow doesn’t have to wait past January 8. If Stafford had waited til after Florida won a national title, it would have taken Superman to a new level of stardom and market value. I think this was Matthew’s best move in terms of beating Tebow to the top of the chain.

As for Tebow: If he leaves early, I don’t think he’s nearly well enough developed as a passer to grade as high as Matthew is grading right now. On the other hand, if he stays another year, Pope Urban’s going to beat the hell out of him, using him as a battering ram. I don’t think Golden Boy’s future is as grandiose as those idiot Jax writers think it is.

As for Knowshon: He’s already going to be the top runningback picked, so why wait?

A Georgia Dawg in the Mid-West alone with his thoughts.

BBQ, Ball and Bets

There's nothing like a sunny fall afternoon, pork BBQ (with mustard sauce, of course!), a pregame tailgate, and...betting online. You heard me right. With a laptop and an internet connection you can check the odds of any game from the 50 yard line. Now that's convenience and will make your tailgate all the more interesting when some dude mentions just how much of a good bet a certain game is.
