Lady Dawgs seek to deny Summit 1000th win

PWD has a great post on the thorn in Coach Landers’ side Pat Summit has been.  Coach Summit goes for her 1000th career win tonight in Knoxville.  Coach Landers has had a great career, one the has pretty much paralleled Coach Summit’s.  Both basically started their respective programs, both are in the top 10 in all time victories, winning percentage and years at their craft.  Both have been to multiple final fours and spent nearly every season on the bench in the post season.  However, Pat Summit has been Franklin Roosevelt to Andy Landers’ Al Smith.  No matter how many great things he has done, there will always be Pat Summit.

Here’s hoping Coach Summit’s 1000th win is held off for another few days.  With the character and discipline the team has shown over the past few games, anything is possible.  To do so in what was looking to be a down year a few weeks ago would be sweet.

Go Dawgs!

BBQ, Ball and Bets

There's nothing like a sunny fall afternoon, pork BBQ (with mustard sauce, of course!), a pregame tailgate, and...betting online. You heard me right. With a laptop and an internet connection you can check the odds of any game from the 50 yard line. Now that's convenience and will make your tailgate all the more interesting when some dude mentions just how much of a good bet a certain game is.
