Bracketbusters announced

The best weekend of the college basketball season, save the conference tournaments, is Bracketbusters. The schedule, released last week, provides some compelling matchups, none more so than Bulter at Davidson.

The Dogs (they call themselves that) and the Cats face off in Davidson in the only matchup between teams that both make March Madness without a conference tourney win.  Utah State vs. St. Mary’s is another pretty good matchup, with an upset by St. Mary’s seriously hurting the Aggies’ at large hopes.

Davidson could be without Stephen Curry, making a win for Davidson very difficult.  Butler plays solid basketball, relying on a good inside out game.  They are also coming off a loss against Loyola-Chicago, so they should be fired up.  Davidson plays pass the ball to Curry, so without him, it would take a pretty surprising effort for the Cats to come up with a win.

Thank goodness basketball is getting in full swing.

BBQ, Ball and Bets

There's nothing like a sunny fall afternoon, pork BBQ (with mustard sauce, of course!), a pregame tailgate, and...betting online. You heard me right. With a laptop and an internet connection you can check the odds of any game from the 50 yard line. Now that's convenience and will make your tailgate all the more interesting when some dude mentions just how much of a good bet a certain game is.
