Orson Charles to wear number 7 in college!

Film at 3:45 or so.

Seriously, I hope he plays at UGA, but USC finally agreed to let him wear number 7 if he goes out there.  Pete Carroll took his shirt off and made Matt Barkley do so, too.  Barkley, the all-world QB recruit, originally had number 7 reserved for him and Orson kidded him about wanting it.  Apparently Barkley can throw the football just fine with any number on, thank you.

Maybe Barkley can let Charles have his ‘dorm’ in La Jolla, too.  I kid, I kid.

Orson announces his decision this afternoon.  Bernie and Mackalicious have write ups on it.  Actually, Mack has his pimp walk planned for 1 or so.  Nice.

Update: Charles choses Georgia.

If Charles ends up at USC and Barkley’s game goes down the crapper, he’s gonna want that number back. Sports superstition is a harsh mistress.
…oh heaven’s me! Look at the time (crip walks out the door).

Maybe he can convince Matt to play defense, then they can both have it. Cary Harris wore 7 as our CB but graduated. So it’s up for grabs!

Thanks. I fully expected him to chose SC.

A Georgia Dawg in the Mid-West alone with his thoughts.

BBQ, Ball and Bets

There's nothing like a sunny fall afternoon, pork BBQ (with mustard sauce, of course!), a pregame tailgate, and...betting online. You heard me right. With a laptop and an internet connection you can check the odds of any game from the 50 yard line. Now that's convenience and will make your tailgate all the more interesting when some dude mentions just how much of a good bet a certain game is.
