Ah, the weekend – special July 4th edition

So the Dawgs aren’t playing in Michigan.  Michigan isn’t playing anywhere near Athens (and to think, a big deal was made about Georgia never leaving the South).  Norte Dame still will start the season in the top 25.

July 4th is the start of the very extended college football season, as the pre-media days speculation starts.  Before long, we’ll have The Kiffer horning in on ‘champions’ breakfast, Spurrier making comments about how much less Orange is in B’ham without Fulmer there, and Meyer pointing/staring.  Then teams report for camp, footballs will fly and we’ll be in Stillwater.

Then it will snow here.

Here’s hoping you have a very happy July 4th!

Happy Birthday, USA.  Football season starts Monday.

From my 2nd grad pagent days.

From my 2nd grade "Spirit of Liberty" days.

A Georgia Dawg in the Mid-West alone with his thoughts.

BBQ, Ball and Bets

There's nothing like a sunny fall afternoon, pork BBQ (with mustard sauce, of course!), a pregame tailgate, and...betting online. You heard me right. With a laptop and an internet connection you can check the odds of any game from the 50 yard line. Now that's convenience and will make your tailgate all the more interesting when some dude mentions just how much of a good bet a certain game is.
