From the Cornfield-live from the Rockies edition

Taking the show on the road this week.  I’m in Denver with Brad, who is Bad and Nationwide, to catch a Braves-Rockies game tonight, eat some buffalo, and hike in Yellowstone some.  By hike, I mean walk the boardwalks near the Yellowstone Lodge.

A couple of quick hitters.

  • The Senator has a great analysis of the “What!?” part of the MWC’s anti-trust argument.
  • Team Speed Kills=funny stuff on Evil Richt.  Except he would put a definite article in front of everything, eg. ‘the indigestion’ at the end.
  • Bernie noticed a Dawg slant to a great human interest story from the WSOP.  Poker and the Dawgs in the same post. Heh.
  • Team Speed Kills is ready for some football!

Sorry for the brevity of posting.  We kicked of the trip with a concert at the Ogden Theater last night with a Cowboy Junkies and Son Volt twin bill.  Great stuff.

A Georgia Dawg in the Mid-West alone with his thoughts.

BBQ, Ball and Bets

There's nothing like a sunny fall afternoon, pork BBQ (with mustard sauce, of course!), a pregame tailgate, and...betting online. You heard me right. With a laptop and an internet connection you can check the odds of any game from the 50 yard line. Now that's convenience and will make your tailgate all the more interesting when some dude mentions just how much of a good bet a certain game is.
